Speaking Part Auditions

Speaking Part Auditions are for anyone who is interested in having a solo or small group speaking part, singing part, or dancing part.  Please recognize that not everyone who auditions will receive a solo or small group part.   Most of the parts in the play are in the Ensemble, but we hope you'll audition for whatever you're interested in!

WITH A PARENT OR GUARDIAN:

  1. Go to the audition schedule HERE to sign up for a date and time.  (All audition slots must be scheduled by October 19th at 9:00 pm.)

  2. Next, decide on up to 6 characters are are interested in by looking at the list of characters HERE.

  3. Next, go HERE and click on the Start button to fill out the Online Audition Form.  Make sure you hit “Submit!” (All audition forms must be submitted no later than Friday, October 19th at 9:00 pm).  No late forms will be accepted as it makes it unfair to others who turn theirs in on time.*

  4. Next, go HERE and print off an AUDITION MONOLOGUES sheet, and be ready to perform TWO monologues of your choice.  These can be memorized, or not: whatever is easiest for you!

  5. Next, select an upbeat Broadway, Pop, or Jazz song of your choice and be ready to sing 30 seconds of it at your audition.

  6. Last, be ON TIME to your audition in the Bear’s Den!  If you are late, you will not be able to audition.

What to bring to your audition:**

  • AUDITION MONOLOGUES sheet to read your 2 selections from (please bring the sheet even if you have both memorized; nerves can get to anyone and we want you to be successful!)

  • Any music or words you may need to sing your 30 second of a song.  We prefer you sing a cappella (without accompaniment or recording) so we can hear your voice clearly.

*To be fair to all, online forms must be submitted NO LATER than Friday, October 19th at 9:00 pm.  NO LATE FORMS will be accepted, and you will not be able to try out.

**Parents are welcome at the auditions, but please no friends
